Legal Counsel – Public Sector & Compliance

About the role

Applaudo Studios is seeking a Legal Counsel specialized in Public Sector & Compliance to support its expansion across LATAM. You will ensure legal compliance, mitigate risks, and guide public bidding processes in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal support for public sector engagements and bidding processes, driving revenue growth.
• Review Terms of Reference, subcontractor data, and tender requirements to issue legal opinions and finalize contracts.
• Lead weekly bid legal reviews, conduct monthly compliance audits, and maintain the corporate Compliance Matrix.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, PX, and Talent Acquisition teams to deliver regulatory clarity and cross‑functional guidance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in public procurement law, regulatory compliance, or public sector legal advisory.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (C1+).
• Strong analytical, detail‑oriented, and proactive approach to risk management.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight public tender deadlines, and perform under pressure.

Required skills

• Experience with digital legal tools such as Lexius, SignNow, Trello, and CoPilot.
• Expertise in Anti‑Money Laundering (AML), Labor Law, public bidding processes, and contract drafting.
