Legal Counsel – Regulatory, Transactional & Corporate

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on generalist attorney to join our Latin America and Caribbean Legal team. The role will support a growing, highly regulated regional footprint, handling regulatory licensing, corporate governance and transactional matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Own regulatory licensing applications, authorizations, registrations and supervisory interactions for money‑transfer and payment services in LAC markets.
• Prepare complete regulatory packages, including business plans, governance structures, internal policies, AML/CFT frameworks and IT/security descriptions.
• Manage feedback cycles, remediation plans and post‑authorization commitments with financial authorities.
• Coordinate closely with Compliance, Finance, Operations, Technology, Privacy and external counsel while retaining internal legal ownership.
• Provide cross‑functional legal advice to Business Development, Finance, Operations, Technology and Treasury on risk mitigation and commercial agreements.

Required profile

• Qualified attorney with experience as a generalist in financial services or money‑transfer sectors.
• Proven track record working with multiple, distinct financial regulatory regimes in Latin America and the Caribbean.
• Ability to lead projects end‑to‑end, manage parallel initiatives and deliver pragmatic, business‑oriented legal judgments.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work with internal stakeholders and external regulators.
