About the role

The Strategic Education Leader will oversee the nationwide implementation of education policies, driving modernisation of teaching practices, strengthening the teaching workforce and fostering technological innovation within the education system.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the deployment of national education policies and programmes.
• Promote pedagogical modernisation, teacher capacity building and the integration of educational technologies.
• Direct the production of evidence, including studies, statistics and evaluations, to inform decision‑making.
• Supervise social programmes aimed at improving student community wellbeing.
• Ensure measurable impact of policies and alignment of technical teams with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in Education, Public Management, Administration or a related field.
• At least 6 years of senior leadership experience in the education sector or public administration.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage high‑impact social projects.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Salvadoran public‑sector regulatory framework.
