Loan Servicing Specialist – Private Real Estate Lending

About the role

Our client, a U.S.-based private real estate lender, is expanding its remote operations team. The Loan Servicing Specialist will own the post‑closing servicing workflow, ensuring funded loans are accurately tracked and borrowers receive prompt support.

Key responsibilities

• Board funded loans with a third‑party servicer, validate terms, balances, reserves and maturity dates, and maintain records in the loan portal.
• Manage construction draw requests end‑to‑end, including budget checks, inspections, documentation, approvals and borrower updates.
• Monitor upcoming maturities, coordinate extensions and payoffs, and flag stalled loans or potential defaults.
• Answer borrower, note‑buyer and warehouse lender inquiries, owning each issue until resolved.

Required profile

• At least 1.5 years of hands‑on experience at a U.S. hard‑money or private real‑estate lender.
• Direct experience servicing short‑term, business‑purpose loans (Fix & Flip, Bridge, DSCR, Ground‑Up Construction).
• Advanced written and spoken English and ability to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Gmail and a CRM such as GoHighLevel or similar.
• Experience using an online loan portal for document management and workflow tracking.
