Mercaderista SC – Trade Marketing

About the role

The Mercaderista SC supports product sales across various distribution channels by conducting tastings, offering samples, running special promotions, and explaining product benefits. Working directly in retail locations, the role aims to increase product visibility, influence purchase decisions, and strengthen brand positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend products to customers at the point of sale, providing detailed information on benefits, features, storage, packaging, distribution, and contraindications.
• Execute merchandising activities in stores to stimulate sales and enhance brand presence.
• Conduct effective product demonstrations, tastings, and free samples, using persuasive dialogue and scripted approaches.
• Handle promotional and advertising materials, as well as tasting equipment.
• Travel between retail locations and, when required, between cities to maintain direct contact with customers.
• Perform market research activities such as surveys, product acceptance tests, and internal marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in similar merchandising or sales promotion roles.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
