Mortgage Collections Advisor I

About the role

The Mortgage Collections Advisor I will analyze, propose and execute recovery alternatives for delinquent mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with bank policies and contributing to a healthy loan portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze each case to determine the most suitable recovery strategy, considering income changes, rate fluctuations, and existing debt.
• Contact clients, guarantors, or co‑debtors by phone to obtain payment promises, negotiate settlements, or arrange beneficial repayment plans.
• Verify and assess daily incoming collections cases to make timely decisions for credit recovery.
• Assist clients visiting the bank by finalising payment plans, refinancings, term extensions, restructurings, or dation in payment arrangements.
• Conduct on‑site visits to clients’ homes, offices or businesses to understand their situation and propose tailored solutions.
• Process all refinancing, term extension, and dation in payment requests according to bank policies and obtain committee approvals.
• Continuously monitor and formalise each assigned case, ensuring swift resolution and proper accounting within the legal department.

Required profile

• Active university student pursuing a degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in similar collections or credit recovery positions.
• Proven ability to handle difficult clients and negotiate effectively.
• Knowledge of the types of guarantees used by the bank for loan granting.

Required skills

• Customer service techniques for credit recovery.
• Understanding of policies governing mortgage and consumer loan refinancing.
