About the role

The Humanitarian Program Operations Officer will lead the operational and technical implementation of emergency response and anticipatory actions in priority communities. The role ensures effective coordination with local authorities, safeguards vulnerable groups, and integrates monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the delivery of kits, cash transfers and other assistance according to established protocols.
• Coordinate with the General Directorate of Civil Protection, municipal civil protection commissions and other key actors to align actions.
• Facilitate participatory data collection for identification and prioritisation of beneficiary families.
• Supervise field staff, monitor indicators, and ensure data quality for MEAL reporting.
• Guarantee inclusion of women, children, adolescents, persons with disabilities and older adults in all activities.
• Manage administrative processes related to procurement, financial settlements and reporting, ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality standards.
• Identify and promptly escalate operational risks, promoting humanitarian standards, protection and safeguarding principles.

Required profile

• Experience in humanitarian programme implementation and emergency response coordination.
• Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding policies and inclusive programming.
• Ability to work collaboratively with local authorities, NGOs and community representatives.
• Proactive attitude toward risk management and quality assurance.
