Project Engineer – Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Migration

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Project Engineer to act as the senior technical backbone on complex infrastructure projects. This fully remote position will have you designing, deploying and migrating server, network and cloud solutions while supporting Project Managers on client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead deployments and configurations for Windows Server 2025/2022/2019/2016, Hyper‑V, and VMware ESXi/vSphere environments.
• Architect and implement networking infrastructure including switches, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and firewalls (SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco, Meraki).
• Drive Microsoft 365, Intune and Azure (Entra ID, Azure AD, VMs, networking) migrations, primarily to Azure, with AWS knowledge for hybrid projects.
• Configure SharePoint (on‑premise and online) and manage backup/disaster‑recovery solutions such as Veeam and Barracuda.
• Participate in project calls as the lead technical resource, mentor junior staff and ensure thorough documentation.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of IT infrastructure, systems engineering or senior systems administration experience.
• Proven ability to lead end‑to‑end server, network and cloud migration projects in a multi‑client (MSP) environment.
• Strong organizational, communication and independent‑working skills.

Required skills

• Windows Server 2025/2022/2019/2016 administration.
• Hyper‑V and VMware ESXi/vSphere virtualization.
• Networking concepts: routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, LAN/WAN, SD‑WAN.
• Firewall deployment (SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco, Meraki).
• Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure services (Entra ID, Azure AD, VMs, networking).
• SharePoint (on‑premise and online) administration.
• Backup/DR tools: Veeam, Barracuda.
• PowerShell scripting (Azure CLI a plus) and basic AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, networking).
