Team Leader AI Operations

About the role

The Team Leader will guide a global team of Expert Raters who evaluate AI‑powered advertising content, ensuring compliance with AI standards and ethical guidelines. You will drive innovation, resourcefulness, and quality in an evolving AI‑driven advertising domain.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and develop Expert Raters, ensuring proficiency in advertising content evaluation and AI compliance.
• Manage global, remote or office‑based teams, coordinating across time zones and cultures.
• Handle administrative duties such as payroll, PTO requests, and performance reviews.
• Lead initiatives to improve evaluation quality, processes, and AI compliance standards.
• Monitor performance, provide guidance, and track metrics to enhance team efficiency.
• Collaborate with other regional Team Leads to standardize best practices and align with global product strategy.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience (minimum 6 months) in a technical or data‑driven environment.
• Strong problem‑solving aptitude and ability to ensure 100% AI compliance.
• Experience in performance management, including evaluations and constructive feedback.
• High emotional safety skills to resolve disagreements and handle sensitive or “taboo” content.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to convey complex technical concepts clearly.

Required skills

• Google Workspace (intermediate)
• Familiarity with AI technologies and ethical implementation in advertising
• Understanding of annotation guidelines and data labeling best practices
• Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts
