QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Babel is looking for a passionate QA Automation Engineer to design, implement and evolve automation strategies that ensure reliable, scalable, and high‑quality software delivery. The role works closely with Development, Product and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead automation initiatives and define testing strategies.
• Design, build and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Concord, Looper or equivalents).
• Develop and execute API tests with Postman and validate data via SQL queries.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of software quality assurance experience.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on test automation experience.
• Strong command of English (B2+).

Required skills

• Selenium, Playwright, Cypress.
• Java, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Postman (or equivalent API testing tools).
• SQL for data validation.
• Jira and Xray for test management.
• Git version control.
• CI/CD platforms such as Concord or Looper.
• Experience with AI‑assisted QA tools.
