Remote Sponsor Account Manager (El Salvador)

About the role

Neighborhood Press runs ten free local email newsletters for Seattle and the Eastside, sponsored by local businesses. It is looking for a remote, full-time Sponsor Account Manager based in El Salvador, working 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific time, Monday to Friday. The team finds businesses that might sponsor, turns interested ones into sponsors and keeps them coming back.

Key responsibilities

• Call businesses that responded to outreach the same day, and call the best fits from the daily list of 40 written-to businesses within two days.
• Close placements at the published price, agreeing the placement and start date; the team sends the invoice and proof.
• Keep every sponsor: a results call after each placement, a monthly check-in, a renewal conversation three weeks before a term ends, and a move from one issue to an annual partnership.
• Take calls from sponsors who want to talk to someone before, during or after they buy.

Required profile

• Spoken English that a US business owner would not notice on the phone; a short voice sample is required with the application.
• Two or more years of outbound sales or account management for US customers, such as B2B telesales, small-business advertising or listing sales, software account management, or a retention desk.
• Experience owning a book of accounts and renewing or upselling.
• Ability to read results (opens, clicks, replies) and explain them to an owner.
• Clean CRM notes, a daily list worked without reminders, and a backup internet connection.
• Applicants who grew up in the United States and now live in El Salvador are especially welcome.

What we offer

• Pay of $1,100 to $1,400 USD per month, set by experience, 40 hours a week, paid through Deel.
• 10% of first-year paid revenue on every sponsor closed, and 5% of every renewal on your book.
• A $300 quarterly bonus if your book renews at 70% or better.
• Total pay typically grows from around $1,700 a month at first to around $4,000 a month as the newsletters grow.
• A $300 equipment budget and $50 a month toward internet.

Hiring takes place through an online application with a 60 to 90 second recording and a short written exercise, followed by a 45-minute video interview, a reference check and a two-hour paid trial on real calls.
