Remote Staff Accountant (Latin America)

About the role

A profitable US home services company, a licensed plumbing and HVAC contractor, uses ServiceTitan for its finance operations. Its controller needs a senior accountant to own the accounting workload end to end, from receivables to the month-end close and reconciliations. The role is remote, full-time, paid $3,000-$4,000 USD per month, and works 8 AM to 4 PM ET.

Key responsibilities

• Own accounts receivable end to end: review invoices, spot memberships and maintenance agreements not yet billed, and call customers on overdue balances
• Run the month-end close: journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations, ready on time for the controller's review
• Reconcile bank, credit card and general ledger accounts
• Process payroll and reconcile payroll
• Prepare financial reporting and audit-ready records
• Propose process improvements as the business grows

Required profile

• 5+ years in accounting with hands-on ownership of the month-end close
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and experience supporting US-based companies
• Strong in AR and general accounting, posting journal entries, accruals and reconciliations with limited oversight
• Comfortable calling US customers about payments with a steady, professional tone
• Detail-oriented and dependable
• English C2, spoken and written, since the role is on the phone with US customers every day
• Bonus: background in trades or home services such as plumbing, HVAC or construction; accounting degree or CPA-track studies
