Senior Accountant for US & Canadian Clients (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a portfolio of North American clients on a long‑term contract basis. The role is fully remote and requires a professional who can manage multiple accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for several client accounts.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements, and manage general ledger entries.
• Assist with payroll processing and preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Review financial KPIs, identify trends or discrepancies, and support audit and tax preparation.
• Oversee and review the work of bookkeepers to ensure completeness.
• Participate in client meetings and gradually take on client‑facing responsibilities.
• Work with AI‑enabled and automated accounting workflows, reviewing outputs and adapting to new technologies.

Required profile

• Degree or formal post‑secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on accounting experience covering the full accounting cycle.
• Experience working with U.S. and/or Canadian companies or clients.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
