SEO Strategist, Multifamily (Remote)

About the role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency looking for an SEO Strategist for a book of multifamily clients (owners and property management groups running large portfolios). The role owns the technical roadmap, content priorities and ranking explanations for each client. Paid media is a separate seat with its own strategist.

Key responsibilities

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts
• Getting clients found in AI search (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity) alongside classic organic results
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where needed
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console and delivering a quarterly roadmap for each client

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, having run audits and made fixes yourself
• Agency experience across several clients at once
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls
• SEO for multifamily or similar multi-location businesses is a strong plus

Required skills

• Fluency with Search Console and GA4
• Screaming Frog
• Ahrefs or Semrush
