Sr. Specialist, Accounting

About the role

Crowley is seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to lead complex reconciliation and general‑ledger activities. The role operates in a hybrid environment, supporting the company’s logistics, shipping, wind and fuel businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation and posting of financial transactions to the general ledger.
• Reconcile customer transactions, investigate discrepancies, and take corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Analyze accounts receivable and payable, and audit reconciliations for accuracy and best practices.
• Execute cash‑management daily reconciliations and ensure proper period posting.
• Assist with inventory reconciliations to maintain billing accuracy.
• Verify document consistency, completeness, and accuracy, initiating corrections as needed.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers and provide training support when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including balance‑sheet reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial analysis.
• Proven ability to work accurately in a detail‑oriented environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer‑service orientation and ability to build effective working relationships.
