Staff Software Engineer

About the role

Command|Link is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the end‑to‑end experience of its security product. This is a fully remote position where you will shape the API and UI, define data contracts, and integrate diverse telemetry sources.

Key responsibilities

• Design and drive the long‑term architecture of the security product’s API and UI.
• Define and enforce data contracts between the product and ingestion, classification, and alerting services.
• Integrate telemetry from syslog, NetFlow, SNMP, firewall logs, OpenTelemetry, EDR, and MDR into a consistent model for analysts.
• Make cloud environment audit trails a first‑class component of the platform.
• Surface enriched entities, alerts, and topology in formats used by security teams.
• Make architectural decisions in ambiguous, cross‑functional areas and ensure durable outcomes.
• Set technical patterns and standards for the team and mentor engineers.

Required profile

• Strong generalist with production‑grade experience building full‑stack applications.
• Deep expertise in Go and ability to own complex, fast‑moving products.
• Proven ability to reason through unfamiliar problems and ramp quickly into new domains.
• Comfortable working without prior security domain experience and learning on the job.
