Backup and Storage Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Backup and Storage Administrator to manage and operate our IBM and Dell storage platforms as well as backup solutions such as Veeam, NetBackup and Avamar. The role involves ensuring data protection, optimizing storage performance, and supporting 24/7 on‑call rotations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, manage and perform basic operations on IBM and Dell storage systems.
• Administer, manage and perform basic operations on backup solutions (Veeam Backup, NetBackup, Avamar).
• Apply ITIL processes and maintain backup certification compliance.
• Optimize storage performance and capacity.

Required profile

• Advanced experience (2+ years) in backup and storage administration.
• University engineering or computer science studies, or a related diploma.
• Basic English (B1+) for communication with vendors and technical documentation.
• Availability for rotating 24/7 on‑call shifts.

Required skills

• IBM Storwize and FlashSystem storage platforms.
• Dell EMC storage solutions.
• Veeam Backup, NetBackup, and Avamar backup products.
• ITIL Foundation knowledge.
• Spectrum Protect (desired).
