Site Reliability Engineer - Observability Platforms

About the role

This is a full-time, permanent position within the Infrastructure Engineering organization, working on Linux systems that support the observability platforms used across the organization. It offers the chance to work on large deployments of open-source observability systems, in a hybrid workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain logging, metrics and tracing platforms, including their front-end visualization tools and supporting applications.
• Support and maintain network capture visibility platforms and network packet brokers.
• Collaborate with other teams on these systems.
• Create documentation and examples for end users on how to use the platforms.

Required profile

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting server hardware, including performance-related issues.
• General Linux system support and bash scripting.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and the OSI model for network capture and visibility platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or containerization platforms.
• Familiarity with GitOps and automation tools; knowledge of kernel and CPU optimizations for accurate packet captures.
