Software Engineer (Full-Stack, Hybrid)

About the role

epay is looking for a Software Engineer to join its international IT team in the Development department. The workplace is hybrid, and the role suits a self-motivated developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, evolving requirements and changing priorities. The engineer produces high-quality production software, supports business-critical systems and contributes across application layers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and support full-stack enterprise applications, APIs, services, databases and integrations.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Project Managers and stakeholders to turn business needs into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot application, database, integration and production issues using code analysis, logs, monitoring and testing.
• Provide status updates, estimates, progress reports, risks and blockers.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures and knowledge-sharing materials.

Required profile

• Fifth-year student in a Software Engineering or Computer Science programme, or equivalent education and experience.
• Two or more years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.
• Good verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies preferred.

Required skills

• C#, C++, Angular and JavaScript.
• SQL with Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
• HTTP, SSL, XML/SOAP, Microsoft WCF and multithreading.
• Source control systems and unit testing.
• Desired: payment, financial services, telecoms or retail experience, and use of AI-assisted development tools.
