Virtual Medical Assistant – Telehealth Support

About the role

Outsourcing Staffing Advantage is looking for a compassionate Virtual Medical Assistant to join its growing Telehealth team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, gathering and documenting their medical information before they connect with physicians located overseas.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and accurately record patient demographics, medical history, surgeries, diagnoses, allergies, and medication lists.
• Verify completeness and accuracy of patient information prior to the virtual consultation.
• Enter all data into the medical documentation system with high precision.
• Prepare and organize patient records for seamless hand‑off to the physician.
• Maintain confidential medical documentation in compliance with privacy standards.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients throughout the intake process.

Required profile

• Background as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, medical student, physician in training, or other healthcare professional with strong medical knowledge.
• Familiarity with U.S. medical terminology, diagnoses, anatomy, and common medications.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• High attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while handling multiple patient intakes.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems (preferred).
