Collections Specialist (Remote – LATAM)

About the role

The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing high‑value and complex accounts across the LATAM region. Working remotely on Pacific Time business hours, you will collaborate with internal AR, sales, customer service and finance teams to ensure timely collections and maintain strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex or high‑value accounts, focusing on timely collection of outstanding debts.
• Contact clients by phone and email to discuss overdue invoices, negotiate payment plans, and resolve disputes.
• Investigate and resolve billing and payment discrepancies in coordination with sales, AR, and customer service.
• Set up payment plans, prepare accounts for external collections, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Process payments, reconcile account discrepancies, and maintain accurate customer records.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 + years of experience in collections.
• Construction or security industry experience is a plus.
• Flexible, reliable, detail‑oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong internet navigation abilities.
• Familiarity with Sedona, the in‑house accounting software (preferred).
