GCP DevOps Engineer (Onsite)

About the role

Applaudo is looking for a DevOps Engineer who builds secure, efficient CI/CD pipelines and reusable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The engineer combines pipeline engineering with Terraform and container expertise, operates core GCP services independently and helps development teams adopt standardized Golden Paths. The position is offered under a 3-month assignment (possible extension) on a hybrid basis, with 3 to 4 days per week onsite and 1 to 2 days remote, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Build complex CI/CD pipelines with integrated testing, security and multi-zone deployments.
• Create reusable Terraform modules for development teams.
• Manage GKE, Cloud Run and Cloud SQL autonomously.
• Integrate automated vulnerability scanning into pipelines as part of DevSecOps.
• Reduce pipeline execution times through caching and parallelism.
• Manage versioning and cleanup of Artifact Registry.
• Support development teams in adopting Golden Paths.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and cloud environments.
• Intermediate to advanced experience building complex CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, including testing, security and multi-zone deployments.
• Experience with Docker and container strategy, including image optimization.
• Working knowledge of English; Spanish is the primary language of communication within the project.
