Junior Project Manager for Keet P2P

About the role

The Keet engine team needs an organized Junior Project Manager to keep the core P2P video‑call and chat engine moving smoothly. You will coordinate a globally distributed team of senior engineers, turn priorities into clear plans, and ensure releases stay on track.

Key responsibilities

• Track engine work across sprints and releases, keeping issues, milestones, and roadmaps up‑to‑date.
• Run or support stand‑ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives across time zones (mostly async).
• Coordinate between the engine team, Keet app/UI developers, and QA to surface dependencies early.
• Write clear status updates, release notes, and meeting summaries.
• Help triage bug reports and user feedback, routing them to the appropriate engineers.
• Identify risks and blockers early and assist the team in resolving them.
• Maintain internal documentation and processes so they remain tidy and easy to follow.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or a similar role (including internships or open‑source contributions).
• Excellent written English communication; able to explain technical progress clearly.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
• Comfortable working with engineers and learning technical concepts quickly.
• Self‑starter who thrives in a fully remote, async‑first environment.

Required skills

• Experience with issue trackers and project tools such as GitHub Issues/Projects, Jira, or Linear.
• Basic understanding of networking or distributed‑systems concepts (P2P, DHTs, NAT traversal, replication).
• Familiarity with software development lifecycles, Git, and release processes.
• Some exposure to JavaScript/Node.js or experience working alongside a development team.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices or related certification (e.g., PSM, CAPM).
