Senior SQL/MySQL Database Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to own and operate our relational database landscape, primarily MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. The role combines hands‑on technical work with accountability for uptime, performance, and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support highly available MySQL clusters, including monitoring, backups, and routine maintenance.
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server (2016‑2022), configure Always On Availability Groups, and handle installations, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Manage PostgreSQL environments with similar high‑availability and backup responsibilities.
• Perform basic Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration, monitor server health, and resolve OS‑level incidents.
• Automate DBA tasks using PowerShell and implement monitoring/alerting via WMI, SNMP, and PerfMon.
• Operate databases inside containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and work with managed cloud services such as Amazon RDS or Cloud SQL.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience with MySQL, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to be measured by uptime and project KPIs.
• Comfort with Windows Server administration and basic networking concepts.
