Claims Adjuster – Marine Transportation

About the role

Crowley, a U.S.-owned logistics and transportation company, is seeking a Claims Adjuster to manage the physical movement of inbound and outbound shipments and handle marine insurance claims. The role combines operational oversight with pricing analysis to support profitable and competitive service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the physical movement of inbound and outbound shipments for domestic and international customers, distribution centers, and warehouses.
• Create profitable and competitive rates, review costs, and negotiate pricing for specific commodities.
• Analyze vendor performance, qualify vendors, and negotiate service contracts.
• Prepare cost models and project analyses to support rate decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management or a related field; professional designations such as AIC or ARM are preferred.
• 5–10 years of claims experience in marine transportation or marine/inland marine insurance.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Microsoft Outlook and Word for communication and documentation.
