Quality Assurance Tester – Hybrid (Guatemala/El Salvador)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Tester to join TELUS Digital’s hybrid team serving Guatemala and El Salvador. In this role you will champion testing best practices, ensure rapid feedback loops, and drive automation across web and mobile products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand feature scope and co‑create automation scripts (unit, integration, end‑to‑end, UI).
• Build, execute, and maintain automated test suites, monitor results, and participate in peer code reviews.
• Promote testing practices such as TDD, BDD, pair programming, exploratory testing, CI and CD.
• Engage throughout the agile development cycle, raise concerns, and help address technical debt.
• Identify, report, and document defects and inconsistencies during design and implementation.
• Review code commits to verify appropriate test coverage.
• Conduct manual testing when needed and lead exploratory testing sessions.
• Perform automation audits, clean up duplicate tests, and align with digital code standards.
• Maintain documentation in Confluence and other knowledge‑sharing platforms.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership in testing methods, strategies, and tools.
• Strong passion for continuous improvement of processes and documentation.
• Hands‑on experience developing functional, performance, and regression test scripts.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
